Your Christmas Tree Act Booking - What to Expect
Often we find that people like yourself may never have booked living Christmas trees before. With that in mind, here is a brief run down of what you can expect on the day of your event. We also have full tech requirements below and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Christmas Tree Act Setup:
Our team will arrive between an hour to an hour and a half before your performance or event is due to start.
This gives us plenty of time to liaise with either yourself or your event organiser and make sure we are all on the same page as to how you want the performance to be.
We will also check the performance space, preparation area and route for any potential risks or obstacles to ensure the act goes off without a hitch.
This is when we make our plan for how best to deliver the performance providing the best impact in a safe and stress-free way.
Once everyone is happy with the plan we load in the tree boxes to the preparation area and begin setting up which should take approximately 30 minutes.
Performances:
Based on our conversations with yourself during the booking process the performance can be one of a few things;
- An interactive roaming performance in which we wander the event space entertaining.
- Meet and greet in which we position ourselves near the event entrance and give your guests a warm Christmas welcome
- A static “jump scare” in which we feign being ordinary Christmas trees and then surprise passing guests.
Our performance can also be a mix of these elements – either changing between sets or switching it up within a performance window. We also welcome any ideas you may have yourself!
Included in the price of the Christmas tree act is our own helper to ensure the safety of the act, especially when traversing the event (and to make sure they don’t get caught on anything). They are happy to either help facilitate photos or observe subtly to not give away the surprise.
What we require:
This is a brief run-down of the main things we’ll need in order to make your event a success. You can download a full copy of our tech requirements at the bottom of the page.
- We will need clear access from our van to the area in which the Christmas trees are to be stored.
- We will need to drive a van to your event and so will require parking; we can arrange this ourselves if needed but this option is generally cheaper if we know in advance. If you are providing the parking please note; many car parks are not suitable for vans due to height restrictions.
- Our performer(s) and technician(s) will need a suitable space to be in when they are not performing/working. This should be separate from your guests so they can relax before and between performances. It doesn’t need to be fancy, but should be fit for purpose: dry, warm, secure.
- If our team are required to be at the event for more than five hours they will require refreshment and a hot meal to be provided, or notified that they need to bring their own food with a suitable per diem provided.

Christmas Tree Act Pricing
Note: These costs are the general prices for a single day event lasting no longer than 6 hours from setup to pack down. They do not factor in things like parking or congestion charges or unsociable hours. On the flip side we can also often do better pricing for repeat or multi-day bookings. We encourage you to get in touch for a comprehensive quote.
- For the two Christmas Trees (most popular) the price is £1080 (excluding VAT) + 50p a mile from Bristol for travel.
- For a single Christmas Tree the price is £600 (excluding VAT)+ 50p a mile from Bristol for travel.
All prices are for either 3 x 30 minute sets OR 2 x 45 minute sets OR a single 1 hour long set.
